That is why the doctor tells you to wait to have sex after 6 weeks postpartum, because your more likely to get pregnant again in that time. So by telling you all that information, if you figure she is 8 weeks pregnant already she either didn't wait the full 6 weeks or got pregnant right at the 6 week postpartum mark.
