Other people have stated an explanation and defense of this conservator salary very well. I'll just add that they are exactly right, that it is money well deserved and probably not enough for the hell this man is going through.

Most people who take on the responsibility of a conservatorship or step in to help out a family member by taking care of their business, health, and finance do not then have the additional and horrific burden of fighting enemies in court, enemies who are trying to do harm to the disabled person. They don't have to struggle with publicity and photographers everywhere they go, and they usually don't have this kind of legal problems such as her ongoing custody situation.

Just under normal circumstances, the conservator job is very demanding. Add all this on to it, and it's got to be a nightmare.
