Janet & Jermaine Call It Quits!

After nearly seven years together, Janet Jackson and longtime boyfriend Jermaine Dupri have split, sources close to the couple have confirmed.

An insider tells Us Weekly that the two have been moving in different directions for a while, and that "[Jermaine's] friends are telling people it's over." Another source added, "Janet felt their lives were too crossed and they should have kept things separate." Additionally, the two were very different types of people: "Jermaine likes to be out there, mingling with everybody, and Janet's more shy."

This really isn't a great time for a breakup! Geez, poor JJ! And Jessica Simpson thought she had it bad!

Sorry Ms. Jackson!

They probably brokeup before Michael died. They weren't seen together for a long time. If they were together recently Jermaine most likely would have attended the memorial or at least be in LA.

Well, the good thing is now she can get custody of Michaels children and raise them out of the public eye as Debbie & Michael both wanted. Janet has her own money, she would never try to profit off her brother or anyone else!! There is a reason Katherine is raising damn near all her grandchildren, what is it? Michaels kids need to be anywhere but at the Encino compound, & with Joe lurking around constantly & trying any & every avenue to profit off his son, these children would be great with Janet!! She truly loves those kids and no question how much she loved her brother Michael. Something good comes from tragedy and that is the children have found a permanent, healthy home and can mourn in private & continue to thrive.

THIS IS OLD NEWS!! THEY WERE BROKEN UP BEFORE MICHAEL DIED....JERMAINE DUPRI WAS SEEN OUT IN A HOLLYWOOD RESTAURANT ON THE DAY OF THE MEMORIAL FOR MICHAEL IN STAPLES CENTER.....HE WAS NOT THERE CAUSE HE WAS NOT WITH HER FOR A LONG WHILE!!!!
