You cannot modify a home you are renting without the owner's consent ~ maybe the owner doesn't want a fence up.

Number one, if he is renting this home, he cannot put up a fence without consent. You can however decide which house you rent. And regardless of the supervision level, children stray off sometimes, most young children who drowned in pools were last seen in the home, had been out of sight less than five minutes, and were in the care of one or both parents at the time. And Britney actually does have a fence around her pool...now.

I'm not team anybody but it doesn't matter if you are the best parent in the world or someone is watching the kids around the house YOU NEED A FENCE AROUND A POOL. I think insurance companies require a locked fence around pools (at least in our state and that is Louisiana). To repeat what i saw someone else already comment...most of the times i heard of a child drowning in a pool the parents thought they were asleep, went to answer the phone etc etc and it was a matter of a few minutes and it was too late. If not for the safety of your own kids a locked fence also protects other children in the neighborhood and protects you against law suits if you are doing what you should in regards to fences. I think both of these parents need giant wake up calls and need to get over theirselves. There are simple solutions to the problems in their lives they just have to make the sacrafice and do it.

If the owner of the rental property does not want a fence up then he could end up with a law suit himself if some child drowns in that pool. I cannot see why he would not want one especially knowing that he is renting to someone with small children to protect himself. We all know people are sue happy these days and Federline could totally win that lawsuit if he rented the house, God forbid a child drowned and he could prove that the landlord said he did not want a protective fence around the pool.

There's not a house out there for rent or sale that can't have a safety fence put around a pool. When my children were little, I refused to live in a house with a pool. When they were older, we had a safety fence when we did have a pool, to protect the neighbor children from drowning. There are ways to be a good parent. What responsible parent would move into a house if the owner refused to have a fence? If the owner refused to allow a fence put up, yet rented to a man with infants and toddlers, then if something happened, the owner for sure would be sued. Kevin can have a fence put up and he can remove the fence when he moves, if that's what the owner wants. Fences can go up and they can come down. Britney has car-seats for them too, yet she doesn't put them on properly OR hook them to the car...so just because it LOOKS like you have safety equipment doesn't mean it's going to help. Also - I would NEVER EVER have a RAG-TOP convertible with 2 children in the back. Talk about dangerous as hell. Britney also doesn't wear a seatbelt.

She is dense as hell regarding the safety of her kids...from dropping them (SHE did it, not the hired help) to letting them fry to a crisp in the sun to letting them ride on her lap ---Britney is an inept and neglectful mother. I doubt Kevin will get full custody because of Britney's $$$$, but even her own PARENTS think she is a danger to them.

I think from the way insurance (home) works where we are it does not matter if it is above or below ground pool as far as a fence goes. I would not say he is being a bad parent for not moving forward with a fence it just needs to be done. Trampolines are considered a hazard too and can effect the cost of home insurance.
I have to say something though. To all these self righteous people who take it upon themselve to judge these two peoples parenting skills answer me this..have you been with them when they are alone with their children? Are you a perfect parent or evena parent at all? Children fall, childreng get hurt and parents make mistakes. People are not born parents they learn from others and from doing themselves. I think the most immediate danger to either one of these children is the paparazzi swarm surrounding their parents. You cannot expect either one of these people to lock themselves away b/c they have kids. They both have the right to go out and have a good time. If they go out like 2 times in a week guess what there are 7 more days in that week. I cannot think of any person that i know that their child walked through being little without bumps, scratches, witnessing arguments between parents. Perfection is not attainable and should not be expected. Until I see with my own two eyes either one of these two putting their child in harms way over and over (and yes they have learned from mistakes hence the car seats are correct now and no more riding in laps) I will not judge their parenting skills. Also, someones choice of automobile is not a sign of a bad parent unless they strap a carseat onto the back of a harley. I would love for the paparazzi to follow around all these men and women sitting in judgement of these two 24/7 and then have strangers sit back and judge them. I know they are celebrities and they put themselves in the limelight but when does viciously tearing two people down stop. It is sad that people find it entertaining to hate someone they do not even know.

No house with stairs, stoves, doors, electrical outlets, miniblinds, heavy objects, non carpte floors (if they have socks on they could slip and fall), carpetting (if they fall they could get rug burn), beds (they could fall out), food (they could choke), bathtubs, etc etc. Hell lets not even let them in a car b/c what if somebody hit their car of if the driver had an accident b/c we all know the only people who have automobile accidents are irresponsible.
