My father was a baptist minister for 20 years and picked back his cocaine habit after being sober for those 20 years. Within 2 years he was killed in Mexico. We are not sure if he was murdered over the drugs or what exactly happened. It was all covered up.

All I know is that cocaine made him feel nothing, he had no interest in his family, his grandchildren who was his life, his marriage or what he was doing to himself. Cocaine is simply poison and if it is not stopped it WILL kill the person using it.

He went in rehab after rehab but could not kick the habit again, his chances were all over. It was as if he could not fight it anymore. Lindsay needs help and she needs it now if she wants to live because I can tell you that this drug will kill her. It killed a loving family man who would give the shirt off of his back to help someone, but that drug took every single feeling he had away. We could scream, cry, talk and he just could not hear us. It completely took all the life out of him.

Calling her names and laughing is beyond heartless. I am not even a fan but she is a person and her life will be ruined if she does not get the right help.

I really dont think she is broke though. Like many other celebrities, she just wants more money. Thats the thing about some rich people; they may not have to worry about going broke, but they sure as hell worry about making more money.

It's ignornant to blame a rehab facility for the wrong choices of a client. By saying "their treatment didn't work" you're assuming that a rehab facility or program magically cures people. They don't. They assist people and give people tools but ultimately it's the client that succeeds or not based on their will. Supposedly AA has a success rate of less than 20%. People can only overcome their addictions and bad choices if it's their priority to do so. And it usually means readjusting almost every part of their life and making sweeping changes. It's NOT easy and it's NOT quick.

It's sad seeing her blowing her future, literally. Our 19 year old son died last summer, killed by a semi when he was crossing the interstate high on something. It was devastating to our family and his friends. He liked partying and didn't think this could happen to him. We've lost so many young men in our area in tragic accidents and all were from good families. They all knew better but there seems to be a disconnect and they don't grasp the fact that life is very precious. Our son was a fun-loving young man always willing to have a great time and that included drinking & pot. Unfortunately his life was taken way too soon. Hopefully Lindsay will realize her future is worth more than getting high and that being in public eye she's a role model whether she wants to be or not.
