I know several people who have smoked a cigarette here and there and even had a glass of wine on occasion (their doctors even knew about it and weren't concerned since they kept everything in moderation and could be trusted not to go too far) and their children are just fine and just as bright (some brighter) than every other child. The key is control. Many doctors say to not to that because there are way too many people out there that will think since the doctor said one glass of wine or a couple of cigs a day should be alright then I'll have 4 glasses of wine of a couple of mixed drinks and smoke a pack of cigs a day and that should be fine too. Not really! There are too many idiots that go overboard and have no control that doctors choose to say to not do it. Stop judging other people.
