i just wanted to mention something.

1. you don't go to the hospital for being tired unless you're overly dramatic. there's nothing they can do for you that you can't do at home - namely eat something and sleep. but since it doesn't look like sam is keen on solid food, she probably got intravenous nutrition.

2. since her family is wealthy jews, they probably had money invested with madoff, and sam became aware that she lost a lot of money and had a breakdown.
