In the December issue of W magazine, Cam said she was tired of not being able to breathe through her four-times-broken nose (the last was a surfing accident.) And now, we've found out that yesterday was the day that Cameron actually went under the knife. Rumor has it that she was supposedly so impressed with Ashlee Simpson's nose (?), that she used the same doctor!
These exclusive pix are of Cam going to the gym at 9am yesterday morning before the surgery...she had the rhinoplasty at 4 pm, and was recovered in time to catch the 10:30 pm show of Borat at the Grove w/ Justin! Take a good look at this nose because it's the last time you'll see it!

Amanda, they said these pics were BEFORE the surgery, its ok, I got confused as well.. Anyways I think her nose is fine.. but if its for health reasons then I wish her all the best with the new nose..!

I've worked in an ENT office: If you have surgery for a deviated septum or broken nose (with blockage of the nasal passages), you won't be seen out in public - your nose is packed with gauze and your head is wrapped. You have to breathe out of your mouth only for at least a week, depending on how quickly you heal. It's miserable, and I don't recall anyone saying they'd do it again if given the option. You can have some cosmetic work at the same time, but a SMR (Submucous resection) isn't what one thinks of as a 'nose job'.

There is no actual pain with rhinoplasty, trust me, I know, more like discomfort is the word that describes it best, and tenderness of the whole area along with the swelling and bruising. It takes a couple week or two for the bruising to go, followed by months for the swelling to go, depending on the person. But one thing I know for sure, is the doctor tells you not to bend down and to keep your head elevated as much as you can, you may go to doing your routine things after a week, but nothing like excersizing untill a good 4 weeks.
