LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - People.com is reporting that Britney Spears will be returning to the hit CBS show How I Met Your Mother.

“The show is ecstatic and so is Britney,” a source for the magazine said. “She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more.” Spears, 26, will do one episode, according to the source. Fox studios would not confirm the appearance.

Spears played a receptionist with a crush on Josh Radnor's character on the March 24 episode, which earned the show it's highest ratings ever. Spears is no stranger to television, as she previously guest starred on Will and Grace back in 2006.
