LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - MTV announced today that actor Mike Myers will be hosting the 2008 MTV Movie Awards. This will be Myers' second time hosting the show, and he's excited to be back.

Myers stated in a press release on Wednesday, "I've spent the last year and a half of my life having the most fun ever working on The Love Guru, and now I'm thrilled to have the chance to work with Judy McGrath, Van Toffler and Mark Burnett.”

Van Toffler, President of MTV Networks Music, Logo and Films Group is just as thrilled to be working with the actor. In the press release he said, “Mike Myers blew us away last time he hosted the MTV Movie Awards with his lord of the dance and over the top musical productions...we're elated to have Mike back as our host."

Nominees for the MTV Movie Awards will be announced in May, and be sure to watch the 2008 MTV Movie Awards when they air live on Sunday, June 1st.
