The jurors in the 2005 case killed him with their not guilty verdict. In the court of public opinion Michael did the crimes he was accused of whether he was convicted or not. And let's really look at it for what it is - why else would he need an alarm outside his bedroom door? Or the fact that his genitals i.e., identifying marks were described exactly by the victim? I loved his music as the rest of the world did, and I also believe he was a victim of an abusive father and passive mother. But I can't help but think of the last scene in the movie American Psycho, when the main character has done all the most horrific things right out in public as well as confessed to his "friends" his crimes, i.e., "why can't I invite children into my bed." And still the outside world ignored the truth letting him fall further into madness. Michael needed to be knocked out to get to sleep because I believe he couldn't bear to live his freakish life. I don't understand the calls for ignoring the abuses and crimes that my have been committed here. It goes without question that MJ was a fabulous entertainer but that does not absolve him from wrong-doing nor the people who have fed off of him all these years. It is beyond my comprehension that actual fans want to let his enablers (at best) and abusers (at worst) go unpunished for the part they may have played in his death. I don't for one moment believe that those closest to him knew nothing of his problems. Truth betold they chose to turn a blind eye. Now the fans want to do the same. BB - You are using false information to support your ideas. There was never an alarm outside Michael's door - as proved in the trial. Also, one of the reasons why nothing criminal was filed against him in 92 is because the alleged vicitm's description of Michael's genitals did NOT match the photos taken of him, which was very problematic.

You also have to remember that a year or so after Michael settled that first case, the Evan Chandler, the father of Michael's accuser, sued Michael again in civil court. He sued Michael for himself (He did not personally receive any money in the settlement.) and did not file any kind of criminal charges even though he could have easily done so. This second lawsuit was immediately thrown out of court. In this lawsuit, the father wanted Michael to produce an album for him and distribute the album for sale all over the world. Look it up. It is public record.

For me, the second lawsuit alone indicates that this man was only interested in money.

WE SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED. First, let me say that I am a white, middle-class, professional, conservative female. If you had asked me a year ago if I was a Michael jackson fan, I would have said "absolutely not"! Because just looking at him made me sick. But I have to admit that the recent events have sparked my curiosity about him, and brought back memories of when my sister and I used to listen to his music and watch his videos as teenagers. I began to wonder what happened to him. I started watching some of his old stuff on YouTube yesterday and I came across a 9-part documentary called "Living with michael Jackson". I think everyone who has been judgemental of him should watch this. It has changed my thinking about him, and honestly I feel incredibly sad. We should all be ashamed. The doctors, the media, especially the concert promoters, and the public for having an insatiable desire to probe into his private life and make a mockery of his odd behavior. Sure, he did a few weird things, but like many other true "geniuses", including Einstein, odd behavior and strange physical appearance is characteristic of that type. Michael was a musical and choreagraphical genius, and unfortunately he was never allowed to be a normal child .. thus explaining his often child-like behavior. I believe that he may have even been mildly autistic. The tremendous stress that we ALL put him through is what drove him to have a need for the drugs. I don't blame him for wanting something to numb the pain, and who among us is without a secret sin or two? The legal battle, the financial stress, and the tremendous pressure to perform is what killed that poor soul, and honestly I am beginning to feel so sorry for him and that this happened. If you watch the documentary on YouTube and listen to all those interviews, and watch him and really listen to what he is saying, you will see just what a gentle, kind, innocent & frail person he was. May God forgive us ALL for what we did to him, and I hope he is finally at peace.

I also grew up with Michael, and wrote a fan letter to him in the 80's. His father wrote back thanking me for writing. The world has lost a huge talent, and we all grieve for him. I think we all knew Michael lived a different life than the rest of us. That alone, does not entitle us to trash him. Have some respect, he left children & family who loved him behind. It is needless to say I wish people could find kindness and compassion in their hearts for one another, but there are so many that is cruel and unkind. I however, was not a big fan of MJ, but I did like some of his music. I also, have often wondered why he tried to change so much about himself and his appearance and finally realized that he was a wounded soul. I also realized that he had the right to change whatever he wished to about himself, because he was not harming anyone. i also realized that he donated so much to charities and other organizations that he gave beyond himself. Who are we to judge another human being? Also, who among us actually knew him, to make the unkind, cruel assumptions about him? Do we not realize he too have a family that is left here, and I am sure they hurt of all the unkind words being spoken about him. I pray that before so many of you place your post, please consider the feelings of his family and people that actually love him.

I'm not a MJ fan, however I do think he was an exceptional performer and should be remembered for the positive aspects in his life, the rest is destructive which finally destroyed a unique human being.

I loved michael so so much and i still do even when he is no more. To me he was God sent. I've been listening to his music fo so long and anytime i do i learn something new about him. but most of all, the greatest things i learned from him was love, honesty, truth, humbleness i can go on and on. His life was just an amazing one. But his death so sad, he really did not deserve that kind of death, his life was taking by doctors that don't think twice, that don't know God and think that they hold the power in their hands, they make people believe in them but at the end it's destructions and unbearable pains that they bring to us. And I am very sad that this has happen to our brother Michael Jackson. And i'm really pleading to everyone that reads this my comment that you do please keet Michael Jackson in your prayers and have a strong beliefs in yourselves that prayer is the only medicine and solution to our problems. I grew up fed on a lot of media distortions about Michaels life. My opinion changed when I watched one Oprah's interview of Michael and how he explained some of the myths surrounding him. He was an admirable, humble, and loving person. I never looked back since and have focused on his strengths in performance, music, and the list is long. He was a great person and despite the media bias we love him to bits. Michael must have believed the saying "whatsoever your hands findeth to do, do it with all your might." I am asian and i am 56 years old. My mom who is 86, may daughter who is 33 and my grand daughter who is 12 were saddened by michael's death. I have been crying since he died and i have never cried like this even with my cousin's death just 2 months ago. Michael was able to cross race, nationalities, age, sex, religion and political affiliation with his music, and goodness. I guess i am neither black nor white that is why i can relate to michael. One of our musicians in my country even made a song as a tribute to micahael.
