Michael Jackson's Funeral May Be Open Casket

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Plans for Michael Jackson's memorial service at the Staples Center are emerging, as news that Michael's body could be on display at the sports arena is being reported by CNN. Jackson's family is reportedly still considering an open casket viewing at the public memorial tomorrow, an event which is expected to draw far more than the 17,500 people who will receive tickets.
LAPD seems very concerned with crowd control, and they have already decided to set up a perimeter several blocks around the memorial site, which would make it impossible for anyone without a wristband and a ticket to get in. Concern has also been expressed over who will help fund the extra security measures for the event - city councilman Dennis Zine has suggested that Jackson's family and AEG Live pitch in, and he makes a good argument. Zine tells The Guardian, "If the Jackson family's gonna spend $25,000 on a gold casket, I would think that AEG and the Jackson family could help defray the costs so it's a safe and secure environment for mourners that want to come."
As expected, The Associated Press reports that tickets for the memorial service are already appearing on eBay and Craigslist - one eBay listing even asked for a Buy It Now price of $20,000.
Jennifer Hudson will perform at the event, and a live pool feed will be broadcast on all the major networks, so those not fortunate enough to snag tickets can watch from the comfort of their own home. Debbie Rowe is also expected to attend.

MJ was a private person, when it came to his personal life, so everyone should respect that. It was his music that made him such an Icon. Leave him be, and his family should have a private memorial/funeral for him. Do not allow MJ's body to be viewed publically, it would go against everyting he stood for privately. RIP MJ

i just love how people always say he is a molester simply because a boy accused him of it, news flash people if your a parent as i am a mother of a 2 year old i wouldnt want money to settle what has happened as a parent i would want the person who did wrong to my child put in jail for life, not money so in turn look at all the facts before you go around calling some1 a molester when in fact it was all hearsay, what the media does best, sugar coat everything so that the public believes everything it has to say but i strongly believe as a parent no parent will want money for damage done to their child me personally i would want that person suffer in jail for the rest of his life, and he was never charged or found quilty how ironic right if he in fact was who they say he was he be in jail but we have some mean and evil people in this world that saw an opportunity and they took it ,..he was a great dancer a great performer and that is how he should be remembered, he opened his house up to people and what did people do just use him and betray him just like that little boy...
WhatMichael did for Ryan White and Joey Paolo the same things he did for all the other kids. Ryan and Joey were full-blown AIDS patients and Michael was beyond generous with them at a time when no one wanted to so much as shake the hand of an AIDS patient. What did he do to or wnat from those boys? Nothing. And where is the outrate at the parents who took the "pay-off?" If that was my child and it had actually happened no amount of money would've shut me up. It's not that a settlement doesn't confirms guilt, but ongoing accusations, even false ones, do the damage. In any case, have some respect for the dead - let him rest in peace and let his family grieve the loss of their loved one.

I so agree that the media do so much damage to these stars and with micheal people should remember him not the things said about him,he seemed like a little boy that was very troubled he never had his childhood we all have to just remember the man he was as he does have children that have been through enough and do not need all the gossip that is out there star or no star if this was you then you would not want it to continue so everyone just remember him and let him rest in peace as much as he can at least until it gets settled as to what will happen to the children
