Sex and the City 2 hit theaters this weekend and didn't live up to expectations bringing in 46.3 million, compared to the original SATC which brought in over $56 million.

The four ladies were beat out by Shrek Forever After which remained in the top spot for two consecutive weeks. The green ogre brought in over $43 million from Friday through Sunday.

The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, landed in the third spot bringing in $30.2 ... far less than what Disney had predicted.
