The comedian sold a sitcom to NBC. The plot is said to be loosely based on her life, focusing on a single woman who's trying to get back into the swing of single life after ending a decade-long, live-in relationship.

The project went through an intense bidding war before being picked up by the peacock network. It is being co-written by Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder, who worked on The Sarah Silverman Program with the comedian, and executive produced by Ron Howard, Silverman, Sterling, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo.

This is the third female-focused comedy NBC is working on this year. Whitney Cummings series Whitney will air this fall while Chelsea Handler's Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea, based on the comedian's book, will premiere mid-season.

Sarah's sitcom is currently untitled. Her last show, The Sarah Silverman Program, aired from 2007-2010 on Comedy Central.
