LONDON, UK (X17online) - A polka dot chiffon dress worn by Amy Winehouse on her Back to Black album cover has been sold at a London auction for more than £43,200.

The winning bid was made by fashion museum Museo de la Moda in Santiago, Chile, and all proceeds will go toward the Amy Winehouse Foundation.

The foundation, created in memory of Winehouse, provides “help, support or care for young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction,” according to its website.

“Amy would be so proud that her name is making a difference to young lives and especially that her music is directly making life better for vulnerable young people,” said the late singer’s father, Mitch Winehouse.
