The former first daughter will join NBC Nightly News and Rock Center with Brian Williams as a correspondent for the “Making a Difference” franchise, which profiles organizations and individuals who “make a difference” around the country and world.

"I hope telling stories through ‘Making a Difference’ - as in my academic work and non-profit work - will help me to live my grandmother’s adage of 'Life is not about what happens to you, but about what you do with what happens to you,’” Clinton said in a statement.

Clinton is following in the footsteps of former first daughter and correspondent for NBC's Today, Jenna Bush Hager, and daughter of former presidential candidate John McCain and contributor on MSNBC, Megan McCain.
