Band members Ryan Andrews, Scott Crawford and Mark Perry, who were part of Daughtry's pre-Idol band Absent Element, filed a lawsuit against the singer for "constructive fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty, unfair trade practices and other deceptive and wrongful conduct" last Thursday.

The trio claimed that the singer defrauded them out of royalties for four songs they helped composed and wrote lyrics for.

In response to the allegations, the Idol alum posted a statement on the band's website on Friday.

“I am very hurt by these false accusations. The songs listed in this lawsuit were written solely by me and no one else and at this time, I have no further comment.”
