MTV To Develop Scream TV Series

scream4_wallpaper-01-200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (x17online) - MTV is looking to take the popular Scream franchise to new territory as the network is looking to create a TV series adaptation of Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson's horror movies.

According to sources, former MTV executives Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley are on board to executive produce the project, while the search is on for a writer to pen the project.

At the moment, Scream director Craven and screenwriter Williamson's roles have yet to be determined.

The horror film franchise, which debuted in 1996 with stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, has gone on to create three sequels and earn over $330 million worldwide.
