Britney Spears BSPEARSLAKERS121706_01.jpgBritney Spears put on a brave face when she took off from the Staples Center last night - and considering the way the crowd booed when her picture popped up on the Jumbotron, we can only applaud her composure! Britney stayed in her seat until midway through the fourth quarter, but the crowd's taunting clearly affected her - just when the game was starting to get good, Britney rounded up Jason Trawick (him again?) and Jamie-Lynn and made a move for the exit!
(Don't worry, Britney - after all, Beyonce nearly got booed back to the stone age when she did a halftime show at the Finals a few years ago, and her career's as strong as ever!)

UPDATE: One of our commenters made the following point:

"... according to people there were watching the game (video on ESPN) they were NOT booing Britney. They (Lakers fans) were discouraged when Arenas got around the Lakers and made a shot that ultimately ended up making them lose the game in the end, and at that exact same moment Britney appeared on the screen."

It's certainly a good point - but the general consensus around the office is that Britney's feelings were probably hurt regardless of why the crowd started booing. After all, if twenty thousand people started booing as soon as your picture flashed across a giant screen, how would that make you feel?
