The Cajun songbird's mother gave an exclusive interview to Us Weekly yesterday to try to inject a little perspective into her famous daughter's recent tribulations, describing Britney's rough patch earlier this year as "a time in your life" when her daughter was "just trying to figure [herself] out" and bemoaning the pressure Britney was feeling thanks to her higher-than-usual public profile. Fortunately, it looks like Britney's not one to share in Curtis' characterization of her mother - if word from a family source confirms that the two are thick as thieves again isn't enough, Lynne herself is quoted in the interview as describing her daughter as "the sweetest and most sensitive and loving of all my children"!
