Reese Going to Pieces Over Jake?

Ever since they were spotted gettin' cozy, and Reese let it slip to Ellen that she thought Jake was "great", Reese and Jake have made certain to go their separate ways. So are they together just for the sake of their flop or are they a real couple? 
If they really are together and not just engaging in a little showmance, why hide? Reese's divorce is final now, what is she so worried about?
