Courtroom Update!

After filing a hurried motion to strip Britney Spears of her custody privileges this morning, Mark Vincent Kaplan just sent his publicist Michael Sands to give the assembled press corps the bad news that, due to all the press inquiries, it would be "improper" for him to answer any questions.

There was, however, one moment of intrigue - when a reporter asked Sands if he could confirm that Kaplan had been present at Brit's house last night, he hemmed and hawed for a few minutes before declaring himself unable to comment on the subject!

Hmm - what's up with that? After all, Mark's appearance at Britney's house sure seemed pretty much beyond denial last night! Don't forget, we've even got video footage of Kaplan leaving Britney's place - check out his big appearance around 50 seconds into this clip!
