Looks like Jordan was merely the first stop on Angelina Jolie's tour of the Middle East - since Monday, she's moved on to Baghdad! The Oscar-winner is visiting Iraq to help raise awareness of the problems of the country's two million citizens currently being displaced by the war - particularly the millions of children.
"There doesn't seem to be a real coherent plan to help them," she said in an interview with CNN.
The issue has been a pressing one for Angelina ever since her first visit to Iraq and Syria last August.
Angie is especially concerned with the efforts being made to resettle the refugees, a project with consequences which she sees as being particularly important.
"How Iraq settles in the years to come is going to affect the entire Middle East," she said. "It's in our best interest to address a humanitarian crisis on this scale because displacement can lead to a lot of instability and aggression."
She also pointed out that efforts to help Iraqis relocate have not, as yet, been entirely successful, highlighting one US effort to resettle Iraqi refugees in the United States. The plan, whose stated goal is to take twelve thousand refugees by September, has admitted 375 so far.
"There's lots of goodwill," Angelina told CNN. "Lots of discussion, but there seems to be a lot of talk at the moment, and a lot of pieces that need to be put together. I'm trying to figure out what they are."
Maybe Angie could just adopt them - after all, she and Brad practically have two million kids already!
