Brit's pal Sam Lutfi told X17online last year that the letters and packages she was getting were becoming increasingly inappropriate and that he was going to contact the police about it.

The LAPD say they have not launched an official investigation and the FBI wouldn't comment, according to Eonline.

Sam told X17 last summer that the would screen the mail she received at her Malibu home and throw away most of it.

X17 receives emails and packages from around the world for Britney. Most of them are positive messages in support of Brit but there are the occasional weirdos. Unfortunately, hate mail seems part and "parcel" of being an A-list celeb :(
