The Duffster on 90210!?!?

E! is reporting that Hilary Duff has been offered a starring role on the CW's new Beverly Hills, 90210 series!The role she's been offered is apparently "Annie Mills," a "Beverly Hills High student who is into theater acting."
Hmmmm...is Annie the new Brenda Walsh?
No word yet on whether or not Hilary has accepted the role. Whaddya think, should Hilary return to the small screen or is that a step backward for the former "Lizzie McGuire" girl and current pop starlet?
