Canadian songstress Avril Lavigne has just inked a deal with Procter & Gamble for her own perfume, according to Women's Wear Daily.

Av said she was very pleased "to be working with Procter & Gamble on releasing my first fragrance. Creating this fragrance is a fun process and I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone."

Heike Hindenlang, who is the global marketing director for Procter & Gamble Prestige Products, said, "Young teenage girls really aspire to Avril and love everything about her...We think we can reach out to new consumers with her scents."

Lavigne's first scent should be available in about a year, and apparently the singer turned perfume-creator will be launching more fragrances in the future.

Wonder what it's going to smell like? Hopefully not like her last record!
