As you may have heard by now, Angelina Jolie gave birth to twins Knox Leon (after Pitt's grandfather) and Vivienne Marcheline (after Jolie's mother) via Cesarean Saturday.

According to an X17 source inside the hospital, the surgery was original scheduled for today (Monday) but was moved up due to Jolie's weak condition.

Several reports quote Jolie’s doctor, Michael Sussman, as saying proud papa Pitt cut the umbilical cords of the two newest members of the Jolie-Pitt soccer team, and that Angie was in good spirits during the procedure, talking and laughing with Pitt and her doctor.

The babies, who may be the biggest thing to happen to Nice since the Nicoise salad, are said to be doing well, and have already made minor celebs of their doctor, Michael Sussman, and the Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi, who held a press conference outside of the hospital where he personally signed the twins' birth certificates.

Estrosi told the media: "I congratulate the happy parents, the most famous couple in the world, who have chosen our city for this happy event ... The newborns are, history will not forget it, real Nicois, citizens of Nice." (See video below.)

The first photos of the babies are said to have been sold to an unnamed U.S. magazine for $11 million that the Jolie and Pitt will donate to charity.
