We snapped these pics (and video) of Jayden James with his nanny this morning, around the same time lawyers were going over the details of the interminable custody case involving him and Sean Preston.

We were pretty shocked last night when we found out Brit agreed to give K-fed sole physical and legal custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James, and it got us thinking: why would Brit have made this decision?

If her conservatorship ends on July 31, she'll be on her own, which is great for her, but a judge might see things differently, especially where the kids are concerned. Read: Once Britney becomes independent again, the commissioner might be worried about who's watching the kids if no one is watching Brit.

But what if the conservatorship stays in place? Did Britney just take a gamble, or does she know something we don't? What do you think?
