Fresh off her work on the comedy Bride Wars with Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson has apparently beaten out her BW co-star for a role in the movie version of the musical "Nine," according to Page Six.
The movie, also starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Sophia Loren and Judi Dench, is inspired by the Fellini film 8 1/2, with Day-Lewis playing the role of the director that Antonio Banderas once played on stage.
Apparently, a new song is being written for Hudson's character, a Vogue writer who gets some sexy time with Day-Lewis.
Ahh, another movie based on a musical based on a movie, I can't wait!
Hey, she sang a little bit in Almost Famous (remember the Elton John bus sing-along?) and she didn't sound half-bad!
