Killing Off Katherine's Character?

Looks like she got what she wanted!

Super-famous superstar Katherine Heigl may get killed off Grey's Anatomy next season with a brain tumor, reports Us Weekly.

After dissing "the material" she was given this past season (as the reason for withdrawing herself from Emmy consideration), creator Shonda Rhimes and the writers "are pissed at her," says a well-placed source. "It's their way of screwing with her."

We all know Heigl wants off the show now that she's a big movie star, and while we don't agree with her tactics, we do think that she's very pretty and talented... wait, did I just write that?

Of course, a second source also points out the irony of the situation: "If her character does get a brain tumor, she’ll probably get an Emmy!"

Today ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson said of Heigl, “She’s absolutely staying with the show,” and added, “There’s an unbelievable storyline for her which is really central to everything that’s going to go on this season. We’re really excited about that.” Hmm, so Katherine might not get killed off the show immediately (or this season), but is there any chance this unbelievable storyline could be her getting a brain tumor? Just saying!
