Ne-Yo's No Gentleman!

Ne-Yo may be proclaiming 2008 as The Year of the Gentleman - but he's sure not acting like one!

"Bigger Fish To Fry"?
In a recent conversation for an episode of Daily 10 set to air tonight, the singer/songwriter had curt words for the pop princess, telling Clinton Sparks that Britney has "way bigger fish to fry, little mama, than me about a couple songs."

"I never met Britney Spears," he continued. "I can't have animosity with someone I don't know... I tried to call her, call her people, I called everybody. They didn't want to return a phone call so I said alright, well, I guess I'll take these songs that were written for Britney and give them to other people. Time is money."

Damn, Ne-Yo - business is business, but that's just cold!

At least he didn't go around giving his hits to just anyone - Ne-Yo says his songs ended up being sung by pop luminaries like Nicole Scherzinger, Beyonce Knowles, and Rihanna. Still - who wouldn't want to hear Britney belting out "Happily Never After"?

Still Has Love For Lindsay?
But though Ne-Yo might be bashing Britney, he's still got plenty of affection for one of his other celebutante clients - Lindsay Lohan!

Ne-Yo took pains during his interview to call a little more attention to Lindsay's professionalism - and his own misconceptions about her talent.

"Straight up and down, I thought [our collaboration] was gonna suck," he bluntly put it. "I was like, 'Lindsay Lohan - are you joking? Are you serious? What in the hell am I going to do for Lindsay Lohan?'"

The answer, of course, was "Bossy" - a record so good that Ne-Yo's been eating crow ever since!

"Quality record," he told Sparks. "One that I didn't think she was going to be able to pull off... I had to eat my words. Miss Lindsay Lohan, I apologize, if you're watching. I am sorry. There we go."

Sounds good - but do you think he owes an apology to Brit for his harsh words?
