The LA Times' Gold Derby blog reports that the actor finally picked up his gold cup for best actor in The Assassination Of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford while attending a screening of Burn After Reading at the Venice Film Festival yesterday. Brad had been awarded the honor at last year's festival, but had to leave before the awards ceremony after being pounced on by a crazed fan.

"I guess you forgot something here years ago," the mistress of ceremonies quipped while handing Brad his prize yesterday afternoon. "You can run, but you can't hide," Brad responded with a smile. "It was an honor to receive this last year, and it's an honor to receive it this year. Thank you very much."

How gracious - we just hope he sticks around to collect his trophy if he wins this year!
