(Since we were one of the first sites to publish this story last night, I thought I'd bring it back to the top for those of you who may have missed it!)
Britney joined forces with MTV to produce a 90-minute documentary about "her return to the pop-music spotlight," according to MTV.
Tentatively titled For the Record, the special is set to air on November 30 at 10 pm ET on MTV -- just two days before her new album Circus is released on Brit's 27th birthday!
- "So much has gone on over the last couple of years and there's a lot that people don't know about me that I want them to know ... I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn't being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I've been through and where I'm headed," Brit said in a statement about the special.
So THAT'S why the cameras have been following her! Dad Jamie's bodyguard guy must have helped capture the day-to-day "reality" footage, which is spliced with "footage of her comeback," in MTV's words.
In the doc, Brit says:
- "I've been through a lot, and there's a lot people don't know ... Sometimes it can get lonely 'cause you don't open the gate. I'm stuck in this place, and I just cope every day ... I sit there and I look back ... I'm a smart person, what the hell was I thinking?"
