If you or I were cited for driving without a valid California license, we'd probably just have to obtain one and then show it to the court, but in the case of Britney Spears, her legal domicile is being called into question, and if the jury finds her guilty, she could face a maximum sentence of a thousand dollar fine and SIX MONTHS IN JAIL.

Crazy, huh?

After arguing all week that her home state of Louisiana is her legal "domicile" (not necessarily her current residence, but the place she plans on returning to), the defense rested Friday afternoon after making the argument that Britney's only in California to work and to see her family, but is, in fact planning on returning to Louisiana (where she held a valid driver's license the day of the infraction.) In fact, her father Jamie even testified that she's building a house there!

After a few hours of deliberation, the jury broke for the weekend, to return Monday morning.

Do you think they'll find her guilty? And if so, could Brit face time in jail, after all she's been through?
