Leonardo DiCaprio, Forest Whitaker, Tobey Maguire, will i. am, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Halle Berry, Jaime Foxx, Ashton Kutcher, Natalie Portman and tons of other celebs launched the first of a series of public service announcements today to encourage American youth to register to vote. The non-partisan PSAs were produced by Leonardo's Appian Way production company, and they were created to engage and inspire young people to register and vote and participate in the upcoming election.

According to the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement, only about half of eligible voters under the age of 30 were registered to vote in 2006, and only about half of those who were registered actually voted! Make sure this doesn't happen in 2008 - register to vote and let your voice be heard!

Voters can learn more at Google's voter information site, as well as Google's Election page. Additionally, be sure to check out MySpace IMPACT and Declare Yourself for even more info on the upcoming election.

Other celebs who appear in the PSAs include Amy Adams, Tatyana Ali, Kevin Bacon, Maria Bello, Halle Berry, Selma Blair, Kate Bosworth, Kevin Connolly, Ellen DeGeneres, Jonah Hill, Djimon Hounsou, Dustin Hoffman, Anthony Kiedis, Adam Levine, Laura Linney, Eva Longoria, Demi Moore, Esai Morales, Giovanni Ribisi, Sarah Silverman, Ethan Suplee, Kyra Sedgwick, Michelle Trachtenberg and Usher.
