Looks like some of Hollywood's biggest names have been nominated for the Golden Globe Awards! The list was announced this morning, and the awards ceremony will be held on January 11, 2009.
Angelina Jolie scored a nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for "Changeling" (also in that category are Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Kristin Scott Thomas and Kate Winslet), while Brad Pitt earned a nod for Best Actor in a Motion Picture for "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button." Brad's got some pretty stiff competition - he's up against Leonardo DiCaprio ("Revolutionary Road"), Sean Penn ("Milk"), Frank Langella "Frost/Nixon") and Mickey Rourke ("The Wrestler").
The Best Supporting Actor category pits the late Heath Ledger ("The Dark Knight") against Tom Cruise ("Tropic Thunder"), Robert Downey Jr. ("Tropic Thunder"), Philip Seymour Hoffman ("Doubt"), and Ralph Fiennes ("The Duchess"). "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button," "Frost/Nixon" and "Doubt" nabbed five nominations each, while "Changeling" earned three, and Kate Winslet and Meryl Streep earned two nominations a piece.
