John Mayer Doesn't Understand Britney Spears...

Or perhaps he needs to listen to Circus and Blackout a few more times?

The other day when John appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on KIIS FM, he began to make fun of discuss Britney and her songwriting.

John said, "I was just talking the other day about how strange the Britney Spears songwriting approach is. I've never met her and I'm not coming down on her, but all of the songs are sort of like, 'I'm getting all my girls together, we're gonna go out' and 'I’ve got holes cut out for t*ts, I got flashlights on me'. And then it’s like, 'why's everybody looking at me?' 'Everybody’s looking at me' because oh, did you hear verse two, Britney?"

Point taken, but someone must have reminded John that Britney has sold more albums than him, because he added, "It's been so successful for her that I'm doing it too."

Aww, we can't wait to hear John's next record! Maybe he'll don some sexy outfits and shake his stuff onstage too?
