9:00 pm - Phew, I need a drink. G'nite, y'all!
8:52 pm - Best Picture of the Year -- SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE!!! Aw, all the little kids on stage! So adorable!
8:50 pm - So what will win Best Pic???
8:46 pm - Normally I hate it when actors push their political agenda during the awards, but here it's perfectly appropriate in light of the role he just won for. Best speech of the night?
8:43 pm - Best Actor -- SEAN PENN! Wow, I thought it would be Mickey, but Sean Penn completely deserves this!
8:42 pm - Can't look at Mickey for too long, so I'm looking at Rob Pattinson instead!
8:41 pm - Why is Anthony moving around so much? I don't think he saw Benjamin Button, either.
8:39 pm - Robert De Niro on Sean Penn: "How did he get jobs playing straight men all these years?" Best joke of the night.
8:38 pm - Michael Douglas looks kinda young. Is he aging backwards like BB?
8:37 pm - And now for the men... but who's sexy and who's not so sexy?
8:35 pm - Kate, we love you just the way you are!
8:34 pm - Aw, shout out from pops, so cute!
8:33 pm - Best Actress -- KATE WINSLET! Shoulda won for Revolutionary Road, but hey, she's long overdue so congrats, Kate!
8:32 pm - Split screen of Nicole and Angie and her green jewelry. Too much beauty!
8:31 pm - Nicole Kidman addresses Angelina?!? I DIE. I DIE. Stunning on stunning.
8:30 pm - Sophia Loren kinda freaks me out. In a sexy way. And I've never seen Meryl look so intimidated!
8:29 pm - Yep, the tears are flowing. Why? Because I'm so jealous of Halle's looks!
8:28 pm - Anne Hathaway looks genuinely happy just to be nominated.
8:27 pm - ...and stunning! Standing O for the Best Actresses.
8:26 pm - Women are SO emotional!
8:20 pm - Best Director -- DANNY BOYLE for SLUMDOG! Well deserved again! Man, after so many awards, you'd think he wouldn't be such a spazz on the stage, but I guess it's kind of cute and charming...
8:19 pm - Did Cinderella's evil stepsisters ruin Reese's dress before the little birds had time to put it back together?
8:16 pm - Aw, RIP Paul Newman. And I guess they did Heath last year?

8:11 pm - Queen Latifah is singing (beautifully) during the In Memoriam section... 'nuff said.
8:05 pm - Best Foreign Language Film -- DEPARTURES from Japan! Did Liam accidentally call it "death" the first time?
8:02 pm - Aw, his speech was actually really sweet! I feel something where my heart should be...
8:01 pm - Best Original Song -- JAI HO from SLUMDOG! Him again!
8:00 pm - Where's Miley? And these songs kinda worked better within the movie. Sorry about it!
7:58 pm - I totally thought M.I.A. was gonna perform. Just because. Ugh!
7:56 pm - Best Original Score - SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE.
7:56 pm - Is Zac just a pretty wax statue?
7:55 pm - I love musical scores, but it's late in the game and this is putting me to sleep. Again.
7:51 pm - Too bitchy?
7:47 pm - Jerry Lewis gives a really moving speech about blah blah blah. Next!
7:41 pm - The Jean Hersholt Award? Guess it's time to take a nap. Wake us when they cut back to Brangelina.
7:36 pm - Best Film Editing - SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE. Yeah, we get it, thanks!
7:34 pm - Johnnifer make their first appearance onscreen together! But why do they look like they're in the nosebleed seats?
7:31 pm - Best Sound Mixing --SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE!! Slumdog strikes again! Danny Boyle looks like he's about to ji...explode.
7:29 pm - Best Sound Editing -- THE DARK KNIGHT. Well whoops again on our comment below! And is it just me or does this guy look like Benjamin Button?!?
7:27 pm - Best Visual Effects -- BENJAMIN BUTTON!!! Deserved! But will The Dark Knight win anything else besides Best Supporting Actor?
7:24 pm - Remember Angie in Wanted? And whoops on our 7:18 pm comment!
7:18 pm - Best Doc Short -- SMILE PINKI! Dunno what it's about but it sounds cute. Too bad she's not...
7:17 pm - A little magic to liven up the dull point of the evening.
7:15 pm - Best documentary -- MAN ON WIRE!
7:09 pm - Tears all around. So emotional.
7:08 pm - Best Supporting Actor –- HEATH LEDGER (duh!) I know they were broken up, but didn’t you kinda wanna see Michelle accept on his behalf?
7:07 pm - Kevin Kline talking about Heath Ledger. The camera moves to Heath's family. *silence*
7:05 pm - Oh boy, Cuba is talking to Robert Downey, Jr. Is it a little awk? Nah!
7:03 pm - Aw, Best Supporting Actor. This is going to be intense... and sad.
6:57 pm - Is that a riverdance to Mamma Mia? Yeah, the musical is back.
6:55 pm - It's Zanessa and those younguns from Mamma Mia! Don't even try to out-sing Ms. B!
6:52 pm - Wow, Beyonce really needs to trim her, uh, fringe.
6:52 pm - Is Hugh pretty enough to make bad bits bearable? I think so!
6:47 pm - Best Live Action Short -- TOYLAND. Don't ask me to spell it in any other language. Kthanks!
6:44 pm - Omg, James watches himself make out with Sean Penn in Milk? Loves it!
6:43 pm - Stoners rule! Not that they didn't already, but James Franco and Seth Rogen are brillz. I guess being high is the only way to enjoy the Oscars?
6:40 pm - Remember when Jessica Biel BOMBED?!? Omg, I'm totes embarrassed for her. At least she still has Justin.
6:35 pm - Best Cinematography -- SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE!! The streak continues...
6:34 pm - Ben's overshadowing the whole award. Poor cinematographers, first Christian Bale gives them a bad name, now Ben Stiller ruins their Oscar moment?
6:32 pm - Is that Joaquin Phoenix or Ben Stiller? And Natalie Portman looks STUNNING. Beauty and the Beast! Bad taste?!?
6:25 pm - Rob and Amanda? or Pretty but boring...pretty boring. Loving the cute romance clip, but HSM 3 and What Happens In Vegas? Bet Cam's dreams of one of her films appearing in the Oscars just came true!6:24 pm - Best Makeup -- BENJAMIN BUTTON. Hmm, but wasn't most of that CGI? What about Heath in The Dark Knight? Well, I guess the guy deserved it for making Brad Pitt look like he's 21 again!
6:20 pm - Best Costume Design -- THE DUCHESS! Guess there's no BB streak after all. On another note, notice how most women make a costume change if they present or perform onstage? Was SJP's dress just too fab (or too hard to get in and out of) to change?
6:17 pm - Best Art Direction -- BENJAMIN BUTTON. Natch. Is this the beginning of many wins for the pic?
6:16 pm - SJP didn't change her dress, and why not? She looks gorge! As for Daniel Craig, well, he looks better sans shirt.
6:10 pm - Best Animated Short -- LA MAISON EN BLAH BLAH BLAH
6:08 pm - Jen flubs her line again...another cutaway to Brangelina, who look amused. Jen is not!
6:07 pm - Best Animated Film --WALL-E! Well deserved!
6:06 pm - Angelina gives a courtesy laugh...to Panda co-star Jack Black.
6:05 pm - Jen's here! It's an almost meeting. Jen looks lovely in a white/shimmery dress (tres trendy this year) but hello, what's with the awkward deer-in-headlights thing? Well, we know what's with it, the whole time you could practically hear her repeating in her head "don't look down, don't look down!"
6:04pm - Best Adapted Screenplay -- SIMON BEAUFOY for Slumdog! Shocker, right? But thank gawd it wasn't The Reader!
6:01 pm - Aw, Dustin seems like such a good kid. And he's a hot writer, that's a first! Moving speech, too.
6:00 pm - Best Original Screenplay -- DUSTIN LANCE BLACK for Milk!
5:57 pm - Steve Martin and Tina Fey? Hottest. Couple. EVER.
5:51 pm - "Art is the only universal language?" Bien dicho, Pene!
5:50 pm - Best Supporting Actress --PENELOPE CRUZ!!!
5:46 p.m. - Ummm, leopard caftan with that fug tattoo? Good thing Whoopi's funny!
5:44 p.m. - Goldie looks hawt! But the new format with the former winners complimenting the nominees? Hmm...5:42 p.m. - Hugh Jackman is the best Oscar host ever! Yeah, I said it.
5:39 p.m. - Anne can sing, too! She's even lovelier than I already thought. Oh, but I'll never look at that Benjamin Button old baby the same way again!
5:37 p.m. - Hugh can sing and dance and be fabulous all at once! Except for that weird Kate Winslet joke.
me way again.
5:35 p.m. - Hugh Jackman is, wait for it, kinda funny! I'd see New Zealand.
