Chris Trying To Cop A Misdemeanor Plea

Chris Brown is trying to get off light from allegedly beating Rihanna, by trying to reduce the charges from a felony to a misdemeanor, which would allow him to avoid jail time, according to TMZ.

A misdemeanor? Is that even possible? Well, apparently, if the violence was mutual (which Rihanna apparently admitted to the cops in the police report), he may have a shot at a lesser charge.

BUT, even though Rihanna may have hit him first, the fact that she was so badly beaten while Chris appeared to sustain no injuries from the fight may prove that Brown had the ability to hurt Rihanna much more than she could have hurt him, and thus enable a jury to convict him of a felony.

Plus, this apparently wasn't the first episode of Chris' violent behavior towards Rihanna, which could also make it difficult for the incident of February 8th to be bumped down to a misdemeanor. Also, sources tell TMZ that there may be an admission of guilt in a text Chris sent to Rihanna's assistant, apologizing for the incident days after it happened.

I guess we'll have to wait until the arraignment resumes on April 6th!
