Liz Smith is reporting that Natasha Richardson, who is surrounded by her family at Lennox Hill Hospital in NYC, was taken off life support this afternoon.

Insiders tell Liz that Natasha's move to Lennox Hill "meant her condition was hopeless and [the family was] just finding a place to be together with her and to say good-bye."
