Chris Brown CBrown090708rc.jpg It's still not certain whether or not the District Attorney's office will file charges against Chris Brown today, but it looks like there might be even more evidence to help support their case.

Several different media outlets are reporting that on the night of the attack, Rihanna told police Chris had acted violently towards her in the past and that the attacks were getting more violent over time. Additionally, TMZ reports that additional pictures of Rihanna's battered face were taken the day after the attack, and her injuries look even WORSE in these shots.

E! Online is reporting that Chris' attorneys are in talks with the DA's office about a possible plea deal where the R&B singer would receive probation rather than jail time. A source tells E! that Chris' attorney Mark Geragos was "downtown meeting with the DA on Monday," but it's unclear whether or not prosecutors and Chris' legal team will reach a compromise.

So what could happen in court today? Here are a few possible scenarios:

  1. Chris could be charged with several felonies, including domestic violence and making criminal threats (both of which have a maximum sentence of three years in state prison). If he's charged with a felony, Chris will be required to appear in court, and he may enter a plea.

  2. The District Attorney could decline to file formal charges and refer the case to the City Attorney's office for less serious charges

  3. The case could be delayed, pending further review by the DA's office.
