MadonnaApoptAppeal.jpgMadonna isn't giving up on her plans to adopt a second child from Malawi, according to the Associated Press.

Madonna's lawyer, Alan Chinula, says that he has "filed notice for appeal in the Supreme Court of Appeal."

Earlier, a Malawian court ruled that Madonna may not adopt three-year-old Chifundo "Mercy" James because of a requirement that prospective parents live in the country for 18 to 24 months.
