KieferNYPD.jpgKiefer Sutherland turned himself into police in New York City Thursday afternoon where he was given a desk-appearance ticket for allegedly headbutting Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough at a party earlier this week.

Wearing an overcoat to protect from a light drizzle and dressed in a light blue button down oxford shirt and blue jeans, Kiefer smiled at the media gathered around as he made his way inside Manhattan's 1st Precinct.

Since he wasn't charged with a felony, the 24 star can travel and will not be held in custody.

Neither Sutherland, nor his attorney made any statements about the charges.
