Joe Jackson

At a press conference at the Jackson family estate in Encino, California today, Joe Jackson told reporters that his son's three children are in good hands now that Jackson's mother Katherine is their temporary legal guardian.

"We're the parents. This is where they belong. We're going to take care of them and give them the education they're supposed to have." Joe added, "Debbie Rowe has nothing to do with what we're doing."

Jackson (who was joined by Rev. Al Sharpton) said that Prince, 12, Paris, 11 and Prince Michael II, 7, are with other children in the Jackson family and they are "happy with the kids they're around. We have kids back there, small ones like they are. They were never around other kids. They're happy."

Jackson said that he hasn't seen a copy of his late son's will, and when asked if the king of pop would be laid to rest at Neverland Ranch, he told the press, "That's not true." He also added that the funeral won't take place until they get the results from a second autopsy, saying, "We're searching to see what happened to Michael. I want to see how this autopsy is coming out, the second autopsy. I'm expecting to hear about it real soon."
