Good news for Brad Pitt fans - looks like his latest project, Moneyball may get made after all!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aaron Sorkin has been brought on to do yet another draft of the baseball drama, and he's set to turn in his version as soon as this August.
Brad Pitt remains on board to star in the flick, but Steven Soderbergh will no longer write or direct, and he is no longer involved with the film in any capacity. Soderbergh wrote the most recent version of the screenplay, which is an adaptation of Michael Lewis' book about the Oakland Athletics and their GM Billy Beane, who assembled a rival baseball club despite a payroll much lower than most other teams.
After reviewing Soderbergh's script a few weeks ago, the plug was pulled when EP Amy Pascal and other studio execs deemed a new draft too different from what they had originally signed on for.
How do you think Sorkin's version will fare?
