JackoMovie.jpgA judge in Los Angeles has approved a plan to turn footage of Michael Jackson's final rehearsals for his planned London concerts into a feature film.

Columbia pictures struck a deal with AEG Live, Jackson's concert promoter, to release the videotaped performances on the big screen. Kenny Ortega, who directed the High School Musical films, is directing the project.

Additional video footage meant to be shown during the London concerts may also be included in the movie.

Katherine Jackson was allowed to review the deal between Columbia and AEG, however the judge cautioned Jackson not to disclose the contents of the agreement.

The film is expected to be in theaters by the end of October.
