Britney caught the Kat Heigl flick, The Ugly Truth at The Commons in Calabasas, with just her bodyguard to keep her company.

The pop princess looked rather sad as she smacked her gum on the way in, but even more withdrawn on the way out with her hood pulled tight around her head.

But maybe that was just to make sure we didn't catch sight of her mussed weave!

Brit seems to be having a good time when others are around her - so was this night out alone by choice? Or is she longing for some of her old friends?
