A 31-car motorcade of family and close friends left the Jackson compound in Encino around 7:00 today and headed to Forest Lawn Memorial Park for Michael Jackson's burial, more than two months after the King of Pop died.

The service started about an hour and a half later than planned. Some of Michael's close friends, including Liz Taylor and Macaulay Culkin, were present. All roads into the cemetery were close to the public.

Michael's children, -Paris, Prince, and Blanket - were with their grandmother, dressed in black, looking somber.

Jackson is interred in the mausoleum in the same golden casket that held his body, alongside the likes of Clarke Gable, Walt Disney and Jean Harlow. The public will not be able to see the crypt up close - only from the roped-off entrance to the mausoleum.

Some cars are exiting the cemetery grounds now; the family is expected to congregate at a Pasadena restaurant after the burial.
