mielybday17.jpg Last night Miley Cyrus celebrated her 17th birthday at the Canal Room in NYC, and the teen queen had a surprise 80s themed party complete with a massive custom cake.

Miley enjoyed a performance by the cast of Broadway's Rock of Ages, and when it was time to blow out her 17 candles, she was presented with a purple custom-designed cake made by TLC's Cake Boss Buddy Valastro. A source close to the Disney star tells People, "They didn't want a girly girl cake. It totally fit the theme. It was really awesome."

Miley was joined by her family, friends and rumored boyfriend (and Last Song co-star) Liam Hemsworth. Hmm, think she got a birthday kiss later that evening?
