Tigers Woods, today, retained the services of Orlando criminal attorney Mark NeJame to represent him in relation to Friday morning's incident at the golfer's Orlando home.
X17online put a call in to Mr. NeJame's office and we were given his cell phone number which was also answered by someone other than Mr. NeJame. We're told he will be releasing a statement "shortly" and the person who answered the phone could not confirm to X17online whether Mr. NeJame was representing only Mr. Woods or the golfer and his wife, Elin Nordegren.
It remains to be seen whether Tiger's wife will retain her own attorney to represent her in any possibly domestic violence or spousal abuse charges.
Reports say the couple fought before Woods left the home and reversed into a fire hydrant at the end of his driveway and then hit a tree. Accusations were made that Elin scratched her husband's face before he left the house and was chasing the golfer with a golf club and hitting his Escalade SUV as he tried to leave the driveway. The incident came just two days after a report by the National Enquirer that claimed Tiger has been cheating on his wife.
It is possible state prosecutors could file domestic abuse charges against Elin on behalf of Tiger, even without his consent. In that case, Elin would be forced to hire her own legal representation.
